Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Effective date: 14 October 2026. These Terms govern your use of Katchik, a free mobile rewards programme built on TikTok, and its website.

Your contracting party is the individual resident in France who runs Katchik, reachable at support@katchik.com. There is no company. In these Terms, "Katchik", "we" and "us" mean this person.

Katchik is free: nothing is sold in the app, and no purchase is ever needed to enter or to win. Katchik is the sole promoter of every round and is responsible for every prize, including one supplied by a prize provider. The Apple and Google developer accounts are individual accounts held by the founder.

Katchik is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, TikTok, Meta (including Instagram), Apple or Google. Using Katchik does not give you any rights against those platforms in relation to a Katchik round.

The Official rules apply to every round, and each round has its own rules page that states its countries, timing, featured creator, points formula, ticket allocation, selection process and prizes. Read them before entering. They govern each round; these Terms govern your use of the service. The Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data.

2. Definitions

• Round: one cycle of the rewards programme.
• Featured creator: the account followed through the app-entry route. This is the previous round's winner, or @katchikapp when the chain resets.
• Mission: a task stated in the app with its points: publishing a member's own TikTok post with a specified campaign hashtag or mention.
• Points: the score earned from linking TikTok, missions, invites and capped stats points, which compare the member's TikTok activity with accounts of a similar size, under the published rules for a round. Round points are the points earned for an open round, as the Official rules explain.
• Tickets: the units used to weight selection. Each round point held at close is one ticket, and every eligible entrant holds at least 100 tickets.
• Candidate: a selected person who has not yet completed acceptance and eligibility checks.
• Prize provider: a brand supplying an additional prize. A prize provider is never the featured creator.
• Sponsored card: a card in the app marked Sponsored, created by Katchik for a partner brand. Nothing is sold in the app.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18. The app is rated 18+. You must live in a country permitted by the rules for the round you enter.

The closed beta is for residents of the United Kingdom, Germany and France. Other countries and territories are not eligible unless a later round's rules open them. The United States, Italy, Poland, Spain, Brazil, Australia and Quebec are excluded.

You may have one Katchik account. You may link one TikTok account to it. Katchik staff and members of their households cannot win.

4. Your account, friends and notifications

You create and sign in to your Katchik account with your email address and password. You link TikTok afterwards through TikTok Login Kit. TikTok is never a way to sign in to Katchik.

Keep your email address accurate and protect your password. Do not let another person use your account to enter for you. Write to support@katchik.com if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

You can add friends by their TikTok handle, once they accept your request, or through an invite. Friends see each other's handle, photo and Katchik activity (round points, streak, wins, verified missions, rounds joined), nothing else from TikTok. Either of you can remove the other at any time.

You choose which notifications Katchik sends in Settings, and set your quiet hours there. Account messages (being selected, prize claims, reconnecting TikTok) are part of the service and always come through, even during quiet hours. Other notifications follow your choices: at most 3 a day reach your phone, none during your quiet hours, and partner notifications stay off until you turn them on. Every notification also appears in the app's inbox.

5. Rounds, points and free entry

@katchikapp is the programme's announcement channel: it posts each round's featured creator, its result and its missions. Following @katchikapp on TikTok is required to earn points, do missions and join rounds. You follow it yourself, once, in TikTok's own app, and confirm it in Katchik; until then those features stay locked. We check it against Katchik's own follower list only if you are selected, except in a round where @katchikapp is the featured creator and its follower list is checked: there every app entry is checked after close. The free web entry needs no follow.

To enter a round through the app, link your TikTok account, follow the featured creator yourself in TikTok's own app, and return to Katchik to confirm: "I followed, count me in". Katchik never automates a follow. A follow alone does not enter you.

Keep following the featured creator until the round's winner is announced; after that you may unfollow.

A round closes at its published deadline or when it reaches its published number of players, whichever happens first. App entries and valid free entries count towards the same number of players.

You can instead enter on equal terms, under the same ticket rule as every entry, through the web form at katchik.com/free-entry. No follow and no app are needed to enter by this route. There is no free-entry path inside the app, and the app tells you that the web route exists.

The web form asks for your email address, a display name, your country, confirmation that you are 18 or older, and acceptance of the Terms and the Privacy Policy. Confirm your email through the one link we send. You may submit one free entry per person per round. Using both routes does not create a second entry: if the same person enters a round twice, we keep the first valid entry. We match people by their confirmed email, refuse disposable email addresses, and may refuse an entry that breaks these terms. To take a win through the free entry, you need a Katchik account with your public TikTok account connected, and that TikTok account must hold no other entry in the round. If we reject a free entry for abuse, we also suspend the Katchik account that uses the same confirmed email: it cannot enter rounds until the suspension is lifted, and section 11 explains how to ask for a review.

App points come from linking TikTok, capped stats points that compare your TikTok activity with accounts of a similar size, missions and invites. We read your own public videos through TikTok's video.list permission, for missions and stats points. Points cannot be bought. Every eligible entrant has at least 100 tickets.

An invite earns its points once per invited person, when that person joins their first round, and for at most 5 invited people in any 7 days.

Katchik sets the scoring formula and all caps for each round. They may change between rounds, but never within a round once it opens. Each round's rules show the formula version and caps before entry opens, and the Official rules explain how a free entry's tickets are counted.

6. Selection and prizes

At close, the entry list is sealed and its cryptographic fingerprint is published. In list-based mode, the eligible list is also sealed and fingerprinted after the challenge window below. Randomness comes from the public drand quicknet beacon, with the beacon round pinned only after the last seal. Selection is deterministic once the sealed inputs and beacon value are fixed. A public proof page and verification script let anyone repeat the calculation.

Each round's rules state its verification mode. In candidate-first mode, the default, we select a candidate weighted by tickets and check that person's required follows: the featured creator, and @katchikapp against Katchik's own follower list. If a check fails, we move to the next position. A web entrant is exempt from the follow requirements and never fails because they did not follow.

In list-based mode, app entries are checked against the featured creator's own TikTok follower list, which they send within 48 hours of the close (extended once at most). For 24 hours from the moment the list is in, each app entrant sees their own answer and can dispute a Not found once, with one screenshot of their TikTok Following list; Katchik decides every dispute before the eligible list is sealed, and that decision is final for the round. Valid web entries are included without a follow check. If no list arrives in time, the round uses the usual candidate-first check. If you entered in the app and are selected, we still check your @katchikapp follow against Katchik's own follower list.

The selection weighs your tickets against the total number of tickets in the sealed list used for selection. The result also depends on any earlier candidates being ineligible, declining or not answering. Sponsorship never changes anyone's tickets or the selection.

A selected person remains a candidate until they accept within the acceptance window, 48 hours unless the round's rules say otherwise, and pass the public-account and good-standing checks stated in the rules. We publish their handle and profile photo only after that process. A winner accepts the commitments the Official Rules list; breaking one forfeits the round as the rules explain. A follower export that does not arrive in time is not a broken commitment: the round it was for uses the usual check.

If a candidate declines, does not answer in time or fails the stated checks, the next eligible person in the selection order is considered. If nobody is left, @katchikapp is featured in the next round. A partner prize that no one can accept is carried to the next round and stated in its rules.

The main prize is being the featured creator of the next round. People entering that next round through the app must follow the winner; the web route remains exempt. No number of followers is promised.

A round may also offer a prize supplied by a prize provider. Its nature, quantity, approximate value and award date appear in that round's rules. There is no cash alternative. Katchik remains responsible for it.

The winner claims an additional prize in the app within the claim window stated in the round's rules, 14 days after accepting unless they say otherwise. After that, the prize is not delivered. Delivery details are used only to send the prize, go to the prize provider only when the provider sends it, and are deleted 24 months after delivery.

7. User conduct

• Give accurate information about your identity, age, country and linked account.
• Do not create extra accounts or use both entry routes to obtain duplicate entries.
• Follow @katchikapp and the featured creator yourself in TikTok's app. Do not use automated follows.
• Do not falsify statistics, mission evidence, follow evidence or prize claims.
• Submit only your own mission posts. Use the campaign hashtag or mention stated for the mission.
• When you post for a mission, disclose that it is for a reward with a clear label such as "Ad", "Werbung" or "Publicité", or with TikTok's content disclosure setting; use that setting whenever TikTok requires it. A missing label never makes a mission fail.
• Make any statement about a brand truthful and based on your actual experience. Do not claim to have used a product if you have not.
• Do not interfere with security checks, the entry list, the selection calculation or the proof page.

8. Content

Your mission posts remain your content on TikTok. We read the public video information needed to check a mission, calculate points and resolve related disputes. These Terms do not grant us a general right to reuse your posts in advertising.

9. Sponsored cards

Some cards in the app are marked Sponsored. Katchik creates them for partner brands: a brand video or a partner mission. Nothing is sold in the app. A partner mission earns the points it states, like any other mission; being sponsored never adds an entry, a point, a ticket or any other advantage in a round.

10. Changes to the service and these Terms

We may revise these Terms for future use of the service. We will identify the new version and tell you about material changes by email and with a notice in the app, at least 30 days before they apply, except changes required by law or for security, which apply when published.

Changes to the scoring formula or caps apply only to later rounds whose rules show them before entry opens. We will not retrospectively reduce an entry's rights through a general update. If an exceptional legal or technical problem affects an active round, its rules govern the response.

11. Suspension, account deletion and TikTok disconnection

We may investigate or suspend activity where there is a reasonably supported concern about age, duplicate entries, fraud, unlawful advertising or interference with the service. We will explain the reason and let you request a review at support@katchik.com, unless doing so would be unlawful or compromise an active security investigation.

You can request account deletion in the app, under Settings > Delete account, confirmed with your password, or at katchik.com/delete-account through an emailed link. You have 30 days to cancel the request by logging in again. After that, your account data, points, missions, round history and TikTok connection are erased.

Published proofs keep fingerprints only, without your account link after deletion; if you won a round, your handle stays on its public record. The Privacy Policy explains how long we keep each kind of information.

While a deletion is pending you are signed out everywhere and your account keeps its points. At erasure, your entries in rounds that have not closed are withdrawn, a prize claim you already submitted is still delivered, and a claim you had not submitted lapses.

Disconnecting TikTok revokes the token at TikTok and purges the TikTok data we hold, except a keyed hash of your TikTok account ID, with the Katchik account it was last linked to, that stops the linking credit being earned twice and stops one TikTok account taking part in an open round through two Katchik accounts, kept after you disconnect TikTok, and for 12 months after your Katchik account is erased. While you or the other account has an entry in a round that is still open, you cannot link a TikTok account last linked to another Katchik account, or switch your Katchik account to a different TikTok account. Disconnecting does not change your email-and-password sign-in. Deauthorisation in TikTok also triggers a purge when we receive the event. Missions waiting for verification stop, and the open round's stats points are reversed; stats points already added to your points in closed rounds stay, the linking points stay (linking the same TikTok account again never earns them twice), and entries you already made stay in their rounds; the check at selection still applies.

The optional 30-day cancellation window does not postpone your statutory data rights. Requests to erase data sooner are handled under the Privacy Policy.

12. Responsibility and your rights

Katchik is responsible for running its rounds and providing the prizes described in their rules. A prize provider's involvement does not transfer that responsibility to you or remove it from Katchik.

We cannot control whether another person keeps following a TikTok account or whether TikTok remains available. We do not promise a follower total or continued engagement. Those limits do not excuse misleading prize descriptions or remove your mandatory rights.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. There is no general requirement for you to compensate us for all claims arising from your use of the service.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

French law governs these Terms. This choice does not remove the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you usually live (Rome I Regulation, Article 6).

You may use any court available to you under mandatory jurisdiction rules. These Terms do not require a consumer to bring every claim exclusively in France.

Contact us first if you want help resolving a dispute. You keep the courts and remedies your country's mandatory law gives you.
